How I incorporated style icons into Bridal Wardrobe
Audrey Hepburn, Jackie O, Grace Kelly, Ariana Grande, Blair Waldorf just to name a few. Every style decision was carefully curated for my bridal wardrobe. Once my wedding dress was secured I wanted to give simply nodes to it all throughout the journey from the fold over strapless top or the statement bow on the back. I may have even girl bossed to close the sun because Byron drew my dress down to a T at my bridal shower.
The only times I really steered clear from this vision was when I decided to add color to my bachelorette wardrobe and bridal shower theme because let’s face it being engaged almost two years I was OVER. WHITE.
Let’s talk bridal details - My Dress was the FIRST one I tried on at Schaffers - read more about that day here. And I totally had my decision validated when AG showed up in a Holiday look with the same fold over as my dress - further research also led me to find out that Jackie O wore a very similar cut to her state visit to India in 1962.
It was designed by Maggie Soretto, and my reception dress was from ASOS - Bride.
I grabbed these gorgeous earrings from Etsy that were replicas of Ariana Grande’s wedding earrings; pearls and a tear drops.
My other jewelry was Tiffany’s being one of the first gifts Byron got me.
My shoes were custom made in Spain by Silvia Lago - What really sold me were that the style I went with was called “The Audreys”
My perfume was one of my favorite parts of the day, a wedding gift from Byron we picked it out when getting his suite. Givenchy l'interdit rouge eau de parfum - was actually said to be Audrey Hepburn’s favorite perfume.
One particular outfit I was a huge fan of was my getting ready outfit from Love and Lemons. It was a splurge buuuttt it single handily completed my vision. A couple things I found helpful when curating my wardrobe was envision my every day style but the elevated version. I wanted to feel myself and true to my style but timeless. Another super helpful shopping tip is utilize those sales girl! All throughout my engagement I was able to buy most of my wardrobe during Black Friday deals and Holiday shopping sales.
